Beer adds a rich, earthy flavor to soups and stews that makes them taste like they’ve been simmering for hours. Beers with a sweet or nutty taste can add depth to desserts. And don’t worry about getting drunk – virtually all of the alcohol evaporates during the cooking process.
The same principle applies when using wine to add body and flavour to dishes, and beer is (usually) cheaper than vino. As beer is so complex, you should use different shades and styles for appropriate recipes, and we have a few ideas to get your started

THEPLA TACO BY CHAAYO’S

Posted on

At Chaayos, everything revolves around chai (tea)- from Bun Maska to Samosas to Keema Pav and Poha.

What makes this new range special is that it’s topped with a unique Twist.

From the indigenous ‘Gur Chai’ to the Desi twist to ‘Nachos’ or Mexican tarka to ‘Thelpa’- all these new entrants invoke the feeling of warmth in the otherwise cold weather.

The products, the range includes are Kulhad Pav Bhaji, Shammi Nachos, Thelpa Tacos, Homemade Upma, Golden Green Tea, Gur Chai, Chatkaara Chai, and varied range of cakes like- Chocolate Factory, Apple Streusel Cake Date and Fig Cake and Masala Chai Cake.

‘Thepla Tacos,’ the name speaks for itself. Here, a thepla is served in Tacos style with juicy, spicy paneer chunks or roasted Chicken in spicy red sauce.

‘Veg Shaami Nachos’ gives a perfect fusion to our palette with Tex-Mex Nachos, topped with classic Indian Shami Kababs.

On other hand, ‘Gur Wali Chai,’ added on with a flavour of Fennel (Saunf), will surely take you to ‘those good old days.’

To surprise all the green tea lovers, Chaayos have come up with ‘Golden Green,’ turning green tea from boring to bold, in a flavourful new avatar. And for the green tea haters, this will surely make you take a sip!

The regular visitors to this chai cafe are quite aware of their special masala chai. If you feel that you are done with ‘Chaayos Masala Chai,’ then do try their ‘Masala Chai cake’ to get the same flavour in a completely new avatar!

For Filling :

Choice of your Filling : If Veg : Paneer / Vegetables / Tofu / Whatever u wish

Non Veg : Chicken shreds/ Lamb shreds / Onions / Salsa

Chutneys or Spread : Gujarati Mango Chundo’s … sweet and Tangy

Method …

MIX every thing and Make Dough … Keep it for atleast 40 minutes aside … Take Roll Pin and start rolling and make it as thin as possible so that it becomes crunchy .

I prefered the packed one because it can take the shape of the TACO …

You need a Simple Equipment in House .. which I presume every House has Bread Toaster …

Method for Making Methi Thepla Taco

  • TAKE ONE THEPLA … Spread some Chundo or your choice of Chutney … Chutney should not be runny if runny then it would spoil Taco …
  • Once you have done … Brush a Little oil on outer surface of Thepla , Fold it Lightly , just like one does for PAPADS …
  • Put the Thepla into the Bread Toaster , donot push it inside it should slip inside …
  • Time it for 2 minutes …
  • Once it pops out after 2 minutes … Thepla taco comes out … Fill it with fillings you have and serve it
